St Paul’s Cathedral in the Nineteenth Century
Tuesday 14 September — Sold out
6pm to 8pm. An exclusive tour of this building led by Martin Stancliffe, Surveyor to the Fabric of the Cathedral since 1990.
We shall be alone in the Cathedral without the crowds. The visit will concentrate on the nineteenth-century alterations to the building, particularly the quire, but will also include an opportunity to see some of the nineteenth-century models of decorative schemes and related drawings and also Wren’s Great Model of the Cathedral. Meet on the west steps of the Cathedral. The tour involves a lot of walking and many stairs. £25. Booking required.
Event code: 1034.
