Walk around West Hampstead

Wednesday 24 May — Book now
6.30pm to about 8pm. An evening walk led by Michael Hall.

West Hampstead is an attractive and instructive example of a late-Victorian suburb, virtually all built in 30 years at the intersection of three railway lines. The walk will take us up West End Lane, via the Hampstead Synagogue (Delissa Joseph, 1892, extended 1901), and a fine LCC fire station of 1901, to Hampstead Cemetery, opened in 1876, where there will be time to explore some of the rich variety of monuments. Meet in West End Lane, opposite West Hampstead Underground station (Jubilee line). Please note, there will be a bag search at the synagogue. £14. Booking required.*
