Help us highlight the plight of cemetery chapels
Tuesday 17 February 2009: Garden cemeteries were a nineteenth century phenomenon and at their heart were usually two chapels; one Anglican and one non-conformist. Yet these architecturally interesting buildings have been largely forgotten and too many are now boarded up or derelict.
Rare industrial building under threat from insensitive development
Monday 16 February 2009: The Victorian Society is campaigning to prevent a former cutlery works in Sheffield from being turned into a residential development. Portland Works on Randall Street is listed at Grade II* and is currently home to metal workshops and other small businesses.
