The South Yorkshire Group of the Victorian Society has existed for over 40 years. It runs a winter talk series and summer walks and visits, which are generally well attended. The committee members who organise these events have been doing so for many years but feel that the time has come to stand down once this summer’s programme is complete. The Society is very grateful for the hard work of committee members past and present.
Volunteers are now urgently needed to keep the Victorian Society’s South Yorkshire Group going. The work for individual members is not onerous and current committee members are more than happy to discuss what’s involved with anyone who’d like to consider taking up a role: chairman, treasurer, activities organiser, membership secretary, newsletter editor. Please get in contact ([email protected]) if you would be interested in discussing this further. The future is in your hands - no committee means no group or events.
