ll Meetings, Half Day and Day Schools will now be held in the John Lee Room at the Birmingham & Midland Institute, 9 Margaret Street, Birmingham, B3 3BS unless otherwise stated for a specific event. (Click to view in Google Maps).

Saturday 12th May
Local History Fair at the BMI
10.30 am – 4.00 pm
£1 entry. A chance to see the publications and work of a number of local heritage organisations including the Victorian Society.

Monday June 11th Day
Visit to Abberley Hall School & Witley Court
9.15 am Coach departs Church Street, Birmingham
£38 including refreshments and lunch at Witley Court
Additional entry charge to Witley Court for non - members of English Heritage
Prior Booking Essential
Following our award to Dudley Council for the restoration of the Market Place fountain we are going to view the larger Perseus & Andromeda Fountain at Witley Court, also commissioned by the Earl of Dudley. In the morning we will have a guided tour of nearby Abberley Hall School, (not normally open to the public) - 1840s design by Samuel Daukes as a private house with an iconic clock tower. Final bookings May 29th.

Sunday July 15th 2018 Fundraising Tea Party with Book & Art Sale from 3pm
at Yew Tree House, Mount Lane, Clent, DY9 9PR
£5 entrance charge payable on the day. Books on architecture, the arts and gardening as well as some art work are needed to sell for branch funds. Please indicate if you are likely to attend, or wish to contribute some books (or cake!) by contacting Nina on 01562 887733 nina.hatch@victorian-society-bham.org.uk
