Annual General Meeting and report from Northern Conservation Adviser

The 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Manchester Group will report on events held during 2025, including our 60th anniversary celebrations last month and the new initiative ‘The Victorian Society present the Lunch Hour.’ The Northern Conservation Adviser will bring us up to speed with his work in our area.

Our meeting takes place at Stretford Public Hall, a grand Victorian public building saved for the city by the actions of local people.

Thomas Ollivier, a buildings archaeologist, joined the Victorian Society in February 2025 from the York Civic Trust and King’s Manor Archive at the University of York.

Tom’s casework includes secular buildings in Northern England, Wales, the East Midlands and West Midlands.
