The Lunch Hour 5: City Planning System and regeneration

A walk with a focus on the regeneration of the city and the need for it to evolve and change to meet 21st century requirements whilst protecting its heritage. Led by Katie Wray, a Director of Deloitte.

Manchester has long been a city of transformation, evolving from its industrial roots into a thriving hub of culture, business, and innovation. As we move through 2025, several districts across the city are undergoing significant regeneration, reshaping Manchester’s urban landscape and enhancing its appeal for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. This walk looks at some aspects of this regeneration in the city centre. Katie advises local businesses in order to make the region more sustainable, and is currently working on major regenerations sites across Manchester.
