The Manchester Shakespeare Garden is one of the few remaining public gardens dedicated to the Bard of Avon, established in 1922 in Platt Fields Park by the Shakespeare Tercentenary Committee led by Rosa Grindon, suffragist and botanist. It was rescued from obscurity by volunteers over the past 3 years by a restoration group led by the speaker and can be visited in Platt Fields Park today.
