Perrycroft is a distinctive Arts and Crafts style house designed by CFA Voysey in 1895. This Grade II* house was Voysey’s first major architectural commission and helped develop his highly distinctive style and reputation. Built on an L-shaped plan closely relating to the landscape setting, it is a small country house with lodge, stables and coach house. The property was commissioned by John W. Wilson, whose family firm of Albright and Wilson produced chemicals. The year that this was built, John also became the MP for North Worcestershire, so the house became a country retreat from both Westminster and his family industry in the Black Country.

We will have a guided tour organised by the current owners who have recently undertaken considerable restoration work. The visit price includes refreshments in the Coach House and time to explore the gardens.

The gardens and steep drive mean that this not a visit suitable for members with limited mobility. Due to the high cost, we are only charging the price required by the owners with no profit to the group.
