We are pleased to announce that Ruth Miller has been appointed as the The Victorian Society’s new Events Coordinator.

Ruth has a keen interest in the built environment and local history, she founded the London Mural Preservation Society which has put London’s 1980s murals back into the public eye. She has also worked on historical research projects including ‘East End Women: The Real Story’. For the last five years Ruth has organised and hosted events at Southwark Cathedral and London College of Fashion.

Joe O’Donnell, The Victorian Society Director, said: ‘I am a very excited to have Ruth join our team. She will be a great help in the Society’s mission to improve the service we offer members and event attendees.’

The event co-ordinator role was created following the success of the The Victorian Society’s online talks and the increased demand for our live events as covid restrictions eased.

Ruth is currently working Mondays and Thursdays and can be contacted as well as monitoring the events email inbox. To find out more about our upcoming talks and events visit our events page.
