The Manchester Regional Group which serves all of Greater Manchester and further into Cheshire, Lancashire and the High Peak, had a very successful valedictory talk in January by Ken Moth, the retiring Casework Trustee who embodies the conservation knowledge of the Society.
We produce a quality e-newsletter three times a year and organise a programme of talks and walks related to the Victorian and Edwardian built heritage and related arts and society.
However, the committee which arranges this regional activity still needs strengthening with people with a zest for organising, and who can give a couple of hours a month. Please offer yourself at our events, or phone acting chair, membership trustee Steve Roman on 07939 059844 to discuss what may be involved. You do not need to be a member to join the committee.
The committee publishes the online Biographical Dictionary of Greater Manchester Architects, 1800-1940 www.manchestervictorianarchitects.org.uk compiled by committee member Neil Darlington.
Look out for the social media pages that are coming shortly.
